Suspect in southwest Charlotte murder arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada for the murder of another man on Sunday night in southwest Charlotte, according to CMPD.

Terrance Derrell Lee, 31, was arrested on Friday, Aug 5., for the murder of 28-year-old Ishmeal Bash. The arrest was a joint effort between CMPD VCAT and the FBI’s Las Vegas Bureau.

The fatal shooting happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Quality Inn in the 4800 block of Wallingford Street.

As officers arrived at the scene, they found Bash with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Atrium Main where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A motive has not yet been mentioned in this case.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
