Police searching for 'armed and dangerous' woman charged with 68-year-old's murder in NC
CLAYTON, N.C. (WNCN) — Clayton police have issued an arrest warrant for murder in relationship with the demise of a female who was located inside her house in close proximity to downtown on Thursday afternoon, Town of Clayton spokesperson Nathanael Shelton claimed in a release.
The murder occurred alongside Crawford Parkway, Shelton confirmed Thursday night. The dwelling wherever the sufferer was observed is in a residential location off of W. Key Street.
Law enforcement Chief Greg Tart told CBS 17 on Thursday night time that the incident started as a welfare verify simply call made by household around 4:30 p.m. He claimed the body of an more mature female was discovered.
The target has been determined as 68-yr-outdated Inita Gaither. Authorities explained Gaither lived in the house in which she was identified murdered.
Next an investigation at the crime scene, along with interviewing witnesses, police have formulated a suspect in the scenario.
Camille Nechelle Singleton, 31, has been identified as the suspect in the killing. Shelton said an arrest warrant for the murder of Gaither has been received for Singleton and police are actively wanting for the female.
The trigger of dying was not unveiled. Tart explained they are awaiting autopsy final results.
The investigation decided that Singleton is a relative of Gaither.
Singleton was previous recognized to be functioning a white U-Haul pickup truck and law enforcement believe she has fled the region. There is no tag selection available for the U-Haul.
Singleton might be traveling with her 2-year-outdated daughter, Dior Singleton.
