Police: Hickory officers shoot armed man outside Corner Pocket Lounge; suspect hospitalized
HICKORY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE0) – Two Hickory police officers shot and wounded an armed suspect outside a nearby cafe late Thursday night time, in accordance to the Hickory Police Section.
The incident commenced all around 10:37 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Corner Pocket Lounge found at 534 US Hwy 70 SW. Officers were termed to the space in reference to a male at the enterprise with a gun.
As Hickory law enforcement officers arrived to the scene, they had been told a guy experienced pulled a gun on an worker prior to managing to the back parking whole lot location of the restaurant, near the dumpster.

The suspect, Gregory Ray Cribb, 42, of Hickory, was transported to Carolinas Health-related Centre for cure and is at this time in stable condition, police mentioned.
The two officers involved, Officer Josh Null and Officer Richard Bortnick, have been put on administrative depart pending the results of the investigation, which is conventional process, HPD claimed.
