Guilford County School crossing guard Thomas Faucette turned 100 several years old!
For 30 many years he’s been retaining pupils and their mothers and fathers protected though they walk and travel to Peck Elementary School in Greensboro.
“I enjoy it. Love the little ones much too. Every little thing. I definitely do,” Thomas said.
When you turn 100 you ought to have a celebration of epic proportions… and that is what the people at Peck Elementary gave him!
To mark the celebration Faucette bought a plaque of appreciation from Greensboro Police Chief Brian James.
Of system, the employees and students joined in the exciting elevating the money for a 100-dollar present card. The full university even signed his card!
“Mr. Faucette is just a illustration of who we are at Peck elementary university. Reliable. We love kids. We appreciate what we do. And so what you could experience from Mr. Faucette and the passion that he has, is a wonderful embodiment of our the Peck communities, men and women, our learners, our team and our family members,” Ashley Triplett explained to us.
Faucette, a Planet War Two veteran and retiree from the Postal Company, is a male of handful of words. On this day his smiles and laughter spoke volumes. He’ll convey to you he is not a man to gradual down. And he does not system to start off at any time soon.
Faucette’s tips to others so they can be a part of him in the centenarian club is “get up and get out there!”
