Previous night time, Mecklenburg County passed a sweeping new nondiscrimination ordinance, comparable to what the City of Charlotte handed a number of weeks back.

According to a press release, the new measure amends the ordinances “to include familial status, sexual orientation, gender identification, gender expression, veteran status, being pregnant and pure hairstyle as classes secured from discrimination,” as nicely as adding “employment protections for all new and existing safeguarded classes”.
