LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – Two Lincoln County residents are struggling with costs in relationship to several split-ins in Catawba and Lincoln counties, in accordance to the sheriff’s business.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office stated detectives from each counties labored alongside one another to detect 29-12 months-outdated Dustin Thomas of Lincolnton and 41-12 months-outdated April Bain of Iron Station as suspects in a number of break-ins.
Officers reportedly gained authorization to research the houses of the two suspects.
At Thomas’ residence, deputies said they identified several containers of ammunition and firearms hidden underneath a mattress that allegedly came from a break-in in Catawba County. Investigators reported Thomas admitted to the crack-ins in which a laptop computer and iPad were being stolen alongside with the firearms.
Thomas also informed detectives that he broke into a home on Greenway Drive the place a live snake, television, Engage in Station and other objects have been stolen and recovered by officers.
Thomas is billed with two felony counts of breaking and coming into a building, two counts of possession of stolen merchandise, felony larceny, larceny of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Bain is billed with felony breaking and coming into, breaking into a setting up and larceny of a firearm.
Authorities stated the investigation is continue to ongoing and further expenses are anticipated to be filed.
