Controversy over York County school impact fee use
YORK COUNTY, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — The council just adjourned its executive session all over 9:30 p.m. Monday wherever they mentioned a number of issues on the agenda which includes personnel issues. One of the late adds to the session was the Fort Mill Faculty District effect expenses generating it the third time it was talked about in the last three weeks.
And each and every time, they dipped into govt session to speak it more than with authorized counsel.
A single person who recognized himself as Michael Pruner explained he needs the council to be clear about what they discussed in these executive classes because it impacts the community.
In this article are his whole opinions:
“When you simply click on the council’s tab on the county website its under transparency and which is what I am listed here for tonight. I would like some transparency as a involved citizen of York County.
On the unique called meeting last 7 days and the on the conference on September 7th, the council observed in shape to go into government session and go over products relevant to the Fort Mill College District affect rate. Also took an motion immediately after a person of the conference to employ the service of an attorney to recommend council.
I would like the council to be transparent about this, I would like to county to publish the once-a-year checking report for the influence charges. We would like to know what is heading on. And the counting of the costs and assessment of those people.
Also, the costs have been surrounded by a lot of controversy and retaining a mystery is not helping any individual. So if there is anything improper right here and some thing desires to be appeared at I assume the local community needs to know.
And perhaps, I would talk to the council to also involve the solicitor’s office environment if there is an impropriety here with the resources.
There is very clear and direct point out law pertaining to these cash and it should really be followed. Also, I would question council not to remit any supplemental service fees for later to Fort Mill and keep them in the rely on account that was founded by the ordinance right up until these types of time these items have been brought forth.”
