CHARLOTTE, N.C. Area – A 56-12 months-previous gentleman died following he collided with the side of a trailer and was operate in excess of whilst driving a bicycle in northeast Charlotte past month, in accordance to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Law enforcement Department.
Police explained a Freightliner Truck was traveling south on W. Sugar Creek Street on Sept. 17 when the driver attempted to make a proper flip onto Reagan Generate, crossing into the path of a person using a bicycle.
The bicyclist, recognized as Miguel Aguilar, was also touring south and collided with the facet of the tractor-trailer as he was getting into the crosswalk throughout Reagan Generate. Aguilar fell to the floor and was operate about by the wheels of the trailer, detectives said.
Aguilar was taken to the hospital and died on September 23.
CMPD said the investigation into the crash is even now ongoing, but impairment or speed are not suspected as contributing elements.
